Second Saturday in June – Belgians!

WoB2Join us on Saturday, June 8th at 3 p.m. at World of Beer – South End for our Second Saturday tasting and education. This month we will be exploring Belgian style brews. Bring a friend, bring a snack (if you’d like) and be ready for some fun! We’ll start at 3 p.m. and the cost is just $10 per person.

If this is your first time joining us, don’t be shy – we love our new visitors and have them often. You’ll find that we have a great group of ladies who not only love craft beer, but love meeting new people, too. We hope to see you all there!

2nd Saturday Tasting – Saisons!

WoB2We are looking forward to our second Saturday tasting and education today at World of Beer – South End. It’s no secret that we look forward to all of our events, but today we will be tasting Saisons and we happen to think that this is the best way to kick off the summer.

We know that many of you have big Mother’s Day weekend plans, but if you find an hour or two to join us starting at 3 p.m. for just $10 per person, it will definitely be worth your while! See you soon!

Trappist Tasting at Common Market South End – 5/9/13

trappist

We are taking a little break in April, but we hope that you can stop by our first event in May!

Join us for Common Market’s Trappist tasting on Thursday, May 9th, where we will taste a selection of at least 5-6 Trappist brews, of the now 8 breweries in existence. The cost is just $5 per person.

What is a Trappist beer? Trappists are monks and nuns in the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance and they have over 150 monasteries all over the world. Of these monasteries, only 16 are members of the International Trappist Association, which is similar to a trade organization. Products made at those monasteries are sold under their strict guidance, with the profits going back into the upkeep of the monasteries and anything additional going to charity. Of those 16 monasteries, 8 currently brew beer under the close supervision of the Association and it must be brewed in the monastery either by or under the supervision of monks.

Now that you know what it is, you definitely want to try these! We hope that you can join us and if the weather is nice, the outdoor courtyard will be a nice way to spend our evening.

Cheers!

Share Your Passion!

heart-ribbon-craft-beerWe look forward to seeing you ladies out for February’s Second Saturday tasting event at World of Beer for something pretty special.  How could we possibly get through the month of February without holding a Valentine’s themed tasting?  This one is sure to be full of fun and interesting surprises, because we will be sampling beer with ingredients that might be commonly considered aphrodisiacs.   In addition, now you also have a chance to bring in something of your own to share! It is not required that you bring in a bottle because there will be plenty to go around just from the World of Beer provided tasting, but if you happen to have a favorite beer that you are passionate about, this is your opportunity to bring it in and share it with a few others.  How much fun is that?!
As always, bring a friend, enjoy some great beer, meet some fellow craft beer lovers, and perhaps even win a prize or two.  The cost of the tasting is just $10.  Also, please keep in mind that World of Beer does not serve food, so feel free to bring in a snack or two.
See you there starting at 3 p.m.!

Help A Kid, Earn a Pint

January 29th marks the start of something rather special – this is the start of some great relationships that we look forward to building as we move through 2013.   We are joining forces with #CLTBeerUp for a special event at Good Bottle Co. on January 29th. What is #CLTBeerUp, you ask? Well if the hashtag doesn’t give it away, you definitely need to attend for some social media madness and of course, great beer! #CLTBeerUp is a group of Twitter users in Charlotte who also happen to be fans of craft beer – so come see how the social media and beer worlds combine.

As a side note, we will be collecting items for some Charlotte area children who are in need, and we are asking for your help to make this possible. They are currently in serious need of children’s books (all ages), book bags, pull-ups, wipes, toiletries, notebooks, shoe laces, uniforms, underwear, tank tops, t-shirts, and socks.

If you bring an item from the list of needs to this event at Good Bottle Co. on January 29th, we will buy you a pint!

Please send me a message if you have any questions at all and keep an eye on our Facebook page for additional updates.

We hope to see you there!
